Number 11 Comes Home

Kevin, an old friend of mine from Madison (now in Sacramento) has a few Jonny Cycles frames. Jonny Cycles #2 (black track bike, brakeless of course), a nice Reynolds 953 stainless steel touring bike, and this bike, Jonny Cycles #11 which was made for his father Tim in 2004. Tim’s bike has been given to Kevin’s wife Ellen, but they hit a snag: the seat post was frozen in place. A local bike shop tried to remove it, but they had no luck so Kevin sent the frame back to me and I had to resort to the extreme measure of melting it out, not a big deal as this one was due for a repaint. Once I had the post out and the frame cleaned up I sent it down to NYF paint in Madison – https://www.nyfpaint.com/ https://www.instagram.com/nyf.paint/. Adam did a great re-paint, I can assure you, this frameset has never looked as good as it does now. Jonny Cycles #11 is back on the road!
